CALL batfile.bat

This command tells the command interpreter to run the batch file in it's own command interpreter. This allows one batch file or command to call another batch file, and then resume execution where it left off.

If you don't use CALL when you run a batch file from another batch file,or FOR statement, then the command or batch file will stop running after the called batch file exits.

This isn't a problem for Unix systems because each script I run in it's own instance of the command interpreter instead of the current one (unless specified or it's the login script).
